Billed 10 Days early.

Billed 10 Days early.

Hello,

I started my first month of service on December 10th, and was billed again today, December 30th. Each time I was billed an entire months worth. One, I was not prepared to be billed ten days early, two, I was not paying for 20 days of service, but 30. Also, it says I am to be rebilled on the 30th of the month now. I am not pleased to be missing the 10 days, not to meantion getting billed 10 days early. Please help.

Logan

Hey there!

It seems you paid for your individual subscription and then switched to Spotify Family +1. What the system does is that it splits the remaining subscription time between the members of the account. After this time runs out, it takes the charge for the Spotify Family plan.

We hope this clears things up 🙂

Hello,

No this does not clear it up. When I switched to family, the only reason I did so was because I was confronted with an ad from Spotify stating I would get 3 FREE months. I am unclear how this fits in with 3 free months of the Family. The ad even said I could add more than one family member.

So what you are saying is the promotion was a sham?

Logan

No worries Logan, we're here to help.

The Spotify Family promo was 3 months for $9.99/month, regardless of how many people were on the plan. Right now, your account is enjoying this promo, awesome!

You can confirm this by checking out the amount you were charged after the Premium subscription time you had already paid for ran out.

Hopefully this'll clear things up.

No, not yet. When I signed up for the family plan I expected 90 days of free family. Now, let's say 10$ covers 30 days. I will cancel family after 90 days, but my payments, $40 will now only cover 110 days, not 120 days. There is nowhere in the fine print stating I lose those days. It may seem like a minor problem, but explain this discrepancy.

Logan

Sure thing!

You made a payment for an individual 30-day subscription on the 10th of December. This was before you signed up for the offer.

When you signed up the Spotify Family Holiday promo, the remaining time from the individual subscription was divided among the members of the plan.

Once this time ran out, the first payment of the 3 months for $9.99/mo was taken on December 30th.

Let us know if you have any more questions about this, we'll be glad to help out.
