Birthday gift given by spotify for the free use of premium services

Hello everyone, 

When spotify sends you the free gift of use of the premium services for one month. Do we have to contact them to remove it after the month is over or will they just roll it off and my status go back to the non premium services?

Typically, the trial periods require you to put payment info on file. If you have, than the account will roll to a paid Premium one unless you cancel before the trial expires. You can also cancel at any time on your account page.
I am not 100% if that is how the birthday offer works too, but if you want it to return to the free version I would make sure you end the trial right when it's about to expire.
