Brazilian Premium account - payment card being rejected

Brazilian Premium account - payment card being rejected

December last year I made use of a special offer - three months premium service for R$4.99. Being happy with the service, Ive been subscribed to until the 13th of May, which is when I got a notification about a problem with my payment and I was back to the free service.

 

I live as an expat in Brazil, have a Brazilian social security number, but I am paid in the UK. I used my UK credit card with no problems to register for the special offer and the two following months the money was succesfully debited from my account. Until the 13th.

 

After many emails with your Brazilian colleagues, the problem is still unsolved and a reset of my payment details has not helped either. In fact, I cannot add my British card neither my Dutch card due to an error notification ''ít appears like your bank is having a bad day, but dont worry, no money was deducted from your account''. My banks are not having a bad day and in fact, I made several succesful payments today.

 

My fear is that my credit cards are not accepted because they are not local, which would be very strange as I had no problem paying with my British card for two months as well as the three months trial. I cannot open a bank account here and it would be ridiculous if in all of the sudden I cannot use my Brazilian Spotify account anymore. Changing regions would not make sense. After all, I live, work and pay taxes in Brazil.

 

In fact, I am quite disappointed with the lack of helpful support I have been receiving as a paying customer. I would be very greatful if somebody could help me out over here.
