My Question or Issue

Hi guys,
My previous account was attached with Facebook. So I created a new account.

It asked me to insert a a username, so I did: "César Martiniano".
But now instead of that, it appears: "César Martiniano".... (It's almost a bad word here in Portugal)

So I want to know if it is possible to correct that.
Thanks.

Hi @1martiniano

You may refer to this link on more information about changing your username.

Let me know if it helps!

Thanks for the answer, but I think this is a glyph problem that the typeface somehow can't used the glyph "é", instead it puts "@©".

Hey @1martiniano,

I doubt this is a problem with the specific glyph "é" as there are lots of users and even artists on Spotify using it.

I'd suggest you to try creating another account with your name, but this time either from another device (your mobile phone perhaps) or by copy-pasting your name instead of typing it.

Let me know how it goes.

Felix

Hey there @1martiniano,

Thanks for telling us about this!

You can create a new account by copy-pasting the desired display name. You can use these steps for ease:

  1. Cancel your subscription.

  2. Create a new account.

  3. Transfer your playlists to the new account.

  4. Close your old account.

  5. Subscribe to Premium on the new account.
