Can I deactivate devices

Can I deactivate devices

Hi I have a problem. Have had spotify for a couple months. I lend my account to a friend. And now I don't want him to use it. Is there anyway that I can deactivate his phone from using my account

i am in the same situation actually. i've been using spotify premium for months now but i want to authorize just 2 phones not 3 or more... how can i delete the other devices?

Hey guys 🙂

Oskhuerta - I can see you have already posted in the correct official topic. I would also suggest you change your password as a precaution.

dvdschaar - If you still have those devices, then you don't need to do anything. If someone else is using your account, change your password and then drop a post into this topic and the community team will disconnect all your active logins for you.

Peter, that is what i did, but in some way they can still access my account, i dont know what to do anymore plus it is really annoying! canything else i can try?

cheers

Did you post in the topic I linked to?

Changing your password alone is not enough, since the Spotify application caches log in details. You need to get a member of staff to close all those sessions for you 😉

Why is this so hard for Spotify to do? Why cant we customers manage our own devices? If I can do it with Amazon prime and other streaming services, then I should be able to do it with Spotify. I pay more for Spotify then Netflix!

Hey there.

I'm sorry that you have this problem.

This is situation of today. You can reset your devices only from customer service. Just contact them and they work hard with your issue asap. Just try, it will be worked out!

Thanks!
