Can a company have a Spotify account?

Can a company have a Spotify account?

Hi,

We want to create a Spotify account and use it to create playlists to present our co-workers as part of employer branding.

How is this done? Can I just start a new account as one does when they create a private account?

Hey @fishf00d,

Spotify has introduced a number of features allowing anyone to customise their look on Spotify! You can now upload a profile image to your profile and brand your playlists with custom artwork. You'll just need to create an account here: https://www.spotify.com/signup/. If you’re interested in promoting your brand on Spotify though, check out https://spotifyforbrands.com. You can also reach out to the Spotify for Brands team at https://spotifyforbrands.com/contact-us/. They might be able to help more with specific questions 🙂

So basically, I just start a regular account with our company name as the
profile. (The same way McDonalds have done in the screenshot) And to get it
verified I guess we’ll have to have a bunch of followers first?

Did I understand it correctly?

Thanks for the quick answer.

Yep, you'll just need to make a regular account if you're looking to start making branded playlists! I believe however Spotify are currently only offering verification on a limited basis to artists, and labels. This is because they've introduced a number of features (like artwork), allowing anyone to customise their look on Spotify! But if you have more questions about this, i'd recommend contacting Support. They can clarify anything you're unsure of 🙂
