Can not get off my friend's account

Hey!

A couple of days ago I logged in to my Spotify account on a friend's computer. Afterwards he tried to log back in, but (even though he logged in with his own username and password) he got logged in to my account.

Now, I am somehow on his account on my own phone? His profile picture and name are there, but with my Playlists and music. If I log in again, I come back to his profile. What can I do?

This could happen if the account was linked to your friend's Facebook profile. In this case, you can try following these steps to disconnect your account from his Facebook.

We also suggest following these steps to make sure you log out of all devices, and update your password to be on the safe side.

This could be a simple issue with the Spotify app's data, causing the account to persist.

On Android 6.0+,

Go to Settings > Apps.

Find and select "Spotify".

Once on app info, go to "Storage" and then click "Clear app data".

Reopen the app and attempt to sign in again.

On iOS (iPhone, iPad),

Simply remove/uninstall the app from your device.

Reinstall the latest version from the App Store.
