Can someone from Spotify please tell me how to delete an "extra" account I mistakenly opened?

HI there

I had a phone change today. For some reason I had trouble logging onto my existing Spotify. I called the Telco company and they said I would need to start a new Spotify account. Which I now find is not true and am happy to say I have my old account up and running.

I now want to get the new account I started today deleted, as I want to link my old account to my current email address. Which of course is being used by the new Spotify account. Tedious!

I am also having visions of the old one somehow getting deleted somehow via the "hopeless" Telco company I have been dealing with.
