Can't Change Country / Update Payment Detail - Redirect to Wrong Page

I have an US Spotify account but have been in Canada for more than 2 weeks. Spotify has promopted me to update my payment detail to change my profile country, but every time I click on the "To change your profile country you'll need to update your payment details." link, it redirects to a generic Spotify page that does not give me the option to update my payment information.

 

Is this simply a bug on the webpage? If not, what step(s) am I missing in the process?

 and @theeloquentmime If you receive an automated email directing you to the community and/or help boards, make sure you reply directly to that email (even if it says it is no-reply) and an agent will get back to you as soon as possible.

Hello and welcome to the Spotify Community!

 

You can do the following:

 

  • Clean browser's cache
  • Try incognito mode
  • Try with another browser

Tried all 3 methods (as well as a combination of method 1 and 3), no luck...

Try to login to both of these pages:

 

Update payment details:

https://www.spotify.com/accounts/subscription/

 

Change country:

https://www.spotify.com/accounts/profile/

Payment details page only shows my payment information, does not allow me to make any edits.

 

The profile page basically has the same symptom as what I described in the original post.

Nope, never heard back from Spoitfy. Ended up signing up for Premium to regain access. I think it is an intentional "bug" designed to frustrate users into signing up for its paid services...
