Can't change country.

Can't change country.

I got Spotify while I was abroad, in France. Since returning to Australia, I have been unable (despite numerous attempts using the method outlined in the FAQ) to change the country in my profile to Australia, where I live. 

 

When I open my profile page, I am told that I need to edit my payment information in order to change my country. The payment method I am using is based in Australia, and I change the country to Australia (initially it presents my subscription cost in Euro), but once I click the botton that says "change payment details", I get redirected to a page that tells me to enjoy my subscription. My profile page never reflects the changes that I have made, and continues to say that my country is France. 

 

Any ideas how to fix this?

Hi, 

I'm also having a similar problem. I moved to UK recently and cancelled my premium account here. I would like to listen to Spotify free, but whenever I try it tells me to change my country settings by updating my payment details. Since I cancelled my premium account, there's no payment details listed on my account anymore, so I can't update them! 

 

Also, all the country settings on my computer are set to UK as well as my Facebook profile, which some people have found to cause problems. 

 

I would very much appreciate all help to fix this! 🙂

Hi, thank you for the suggestion. The support's solution to the problem is to create an all new account.

Go to spotify web (https://play.spotify.com/) and use your username (not e-mail) to login. There you should be able to change the country settings.
