I have a Spotify account, which is also linked to my Facebook. I can access the account through my Facebook profile but now that I would like to disconnect it from my Facebook profile, I noticed I have no idea what my password for the Spotify account is. I tried your 'Forgot password' page and told me that the instructions had been send to my email. After not getting the email, I checked the profile and realized it was linked to an old email I haven't used in years. Well, after I gained access to that email, I noticed that it had been wipe clean of all of my old emails. Hence, I also think it wasn't working when the instructions were sent. I tried the Forgot password site multiple times afterwards but have received no emails. Maybe it sends the instructions only once during a certain interval? What do I do now? Also this just forgot everything I wrote and had to write it all again, which is really bad and not making this feel anymore easier.

Got Spotify to change my email on the account and then could change the account password, and disconnect the account from Facebook profile.
Hey bud. Here's what's happening.
If you're logging in to your Spirit account through Facebook then it means that you created your account through Facebook.
If you disconnect your Facebook account from your Spotify account, your account will get broken.
The best thing is to contact support support@spotify.com and ask them to help you create a new account.
Don't worry, they can transfer your songs to your new account
They'll also have a look at your current account and explain it's details to you further
