Can't change subscription to Spotify Family

So here's the thing. I had a premium subscription, that I had to cancel because an unrelated problem with my credit card. 

 

I decided to upgrade again, but to a family plan, so my parents and brother could add to that plan and cancel their own subscriptions.

We all did it, and up until then, so far so good. However, when I tried to upgrady to spotify family, none of my cards were accepted, nor my parents cards. So, I'm stuck in a free subscription.

 

My question is: Is there a period of time in which I have to wait before I upgrade again to premium or to another plan like spotify family? Like, I don't know a 24h window of innactivity, perhaps.

Thank you! I contacted them.

 

However as a last hope resort I tried with a card that was never used in my account and it took it. So I guess the easiest solution is to use a card that was never used with that particular account before, at least if one wants a quick solution instead of waiting for the system to sort things out.
