My Question or Issue
My friends went through my Spotify and played and saved songs to my Library that I don’t like. Now my daily mixes have a bunch of songs by those artists and it’s bothering me. I decided I want to start fresh on Spotify so I closed my account to make a new one. However, when I tried to sign up for a new account it said my email was being used on Spotify even though I closed my account. My only option is to reactivate my old account. Why is this so?

Thanks for reaching out about this here in the Community.
As a heads-up, it might take up to 30 days for an email address to be newly available and used to create a Spotify account if this email was previously associated with another account which got closed.
To avoid waiting, you can create a new Spotify account with a different email address.

Thank you for your help. Unfortunately, I only have one personal email address so I can’t create a new account with a different one. However, I don’t know if I can go that long without Spotify.. is there a way around this?
