Can't find playlist available online?

Can't find playlist available online?

I've noticed a reoccuring problem in which I can't seem to find the playlists advertised in the "New Music on Spotify" emails.

For example, this week there is a playlist called "First Placed Losers" by Sup Pop records.  I can access it just fine through the web client by clicking the link in the email. I'd prefer to play it thorugh the Windows app and for some reason, searching for "First Placed Losers" or Sub Pop doesn't return this playlist. It's kind of annoying to have to use the web client then I installed the windows app ostensibly "for the full Spotify experience". Is the search function not actually searching everything?

The playlist is here:

First Placed Losers

You should be able to set open.spotify.com links to be opened in the desktop client by setting the option in the Web Player settings menu.

Thanks, that's very helpful. I'll look into changing the setting you mention too.

I'm still curious why playlists like this (it's happened at least 3 or 4 times) don't  seem to show up in the search like you would expect.

Playlist search has always been a bit of a mystery on Spotify, but with so many billions of playlists I guess they don't index them all for searching. I found it by searching for the profile of the person who made it instead.
