Can't load shared playlist

A friend sent me his playlist via text, but when I click the link, the Spotify app opens and three dots scroll as if it is trying to load but never loads. I tried while connected to Wi-Fi for 20 minutes and no success. Anyone know how to make this work?

Did you already try to restart Spotify? And are you able to listen to your own music? And maybe you could send the link of your friend's playlist to me in order to see if I encounter the same problem.
