Can't log in to iMac app even after resetting password - HELP!

I've installed the Spotify app on to an iMac but my username (email address) and password wont work. So, I rest my password and went straight back to login with the new password only for it to not work. I've tried 9 times in a row and just keep getting an error message. I can login via the google browser but I want to use the app from the dock. Please see attached.

Can anyone solve this? I'm literally using the new password I've just set.

It seems to be a cache issue, so I recommend that first of all, you try to perform a clean reinstallation of the app on your iMac. Just take a look at this support article to get help with this troubleshooting. It's important that you double-check and follow correctly all the steps to guarantee that the clean reinstallation works. After the process try to log in using your credentials (username + password or email + password).
