Can't log on to spotify on my laptop

I have downloaded spotify onto my laptop and tried to log in with my facebook details, but it says that the details are incorrect. I have changed my password on my facebook account to see if that makes any difference but it doesnt. 

please help me. I can use spotify on my phone fine and can log onto the spotify website fine. its just the application on my laptop that wont accept my details.

Welcome to the Community. Do you have any 'Login Notifications' or 'Login Approvals' set up on your Facebook account at all?

im not sure, would that make a difference? what would i be looking for on facebook?

i have checked my facebook settings and my notifications are disabled and i dont have a login approval set up.
