Can't log on with spotify with Facebook

Hi,

My phone recently got reset.
So i had to download spotify again. The only problem is, when I try to log in through facebook like always, it comes with an error message every time. Had no problems before the resetting.
I have a premium membership.

Error message: A facebook error has occurred: session:
                          An attempt was made to open a session that has a pending request.

Do you have login verification turned on on Facebook? Is your Facebook app up to date on your device?

Hey there, just checking in to see if you're still having this issue.

If so, you can also try disconnecting and reconnecting your account from FB.

If that doesn't work, please let us know what device you're using the app on.

I ended up reinstalling spotify on both my phone and computer.
Changed password on facebook and reinstalled that on my phone as well...

Then after two tries and a lot of patience it started working again 🙂

So finally I can listen to music again while training 😄

Hi! I can't figure out how to disconnect and then reconnect my app to FB. I get the same error-message as I try to log in on my HTC one. It works on my mac.

If you normally log in with facebook it's probably just a case of making sure you have the latest facebook app installed on your android. Check that you can log into facebook using it then spotify should log in fine from the blue "log in with facebook" button'

This was very helpful, thanks.

I needed to:

1) Update the facebook app, make sure I was logged in

2) Uninstall the Spotify app

3) Install the Spotify app

4) choose login with facebook

then it finally worked.

Just updating the facebook app wasn't enough for me. I did try the login after the facebook app update, and it still failed. but after reinstalling spotify, then it worked.

I have the same problem. Suddenly the app for iOS stopped, suggesting I should log in again. I log with my FB account and I tried to do so. A browser window opened. I tried logging with my mail, verified phone, user name and password - nothing. I checked the password - it is correct, as my mail, etc.

My FB app is up to date. I logged out of Facebook and logged in again. I checked the settings - Spotify is an allowed app. I deinstalled and again installed Spotify app - still asking for a log in.

To sum up, I tried every single solution posted here, and nothing worked.

Please advise.

i'm having the same problem, so i wanted to disconnect my fb from my spotify but how can i disconect it when i cant log in 🙂

Windows 10 Users:

Make sure your browser (default browser preferably) is logged into facebook.

Close the app, then reopen it by clicking on the icon then selecting "Run as Administrator".

The app will open as usual, then just click on "Log in with Facebook".
