Can't login to web player

I just downloaded the web player, and I'm trying to login.  I'm clicking 'login with facebook" because that's how I login to Spotify on my phone, and to the regular website.  However when I do this on the web player, it opens a browser (Opera, which isn't my main browser, I don't know why it's using it and can't find a way to change it) and goes to FB where I'm logged in.  That's it.  It never logs me into the app despite closing and restarting numerous times.  It just opens a new window every time I click the login with facebook button.
