Can't modify my account

Can't modify my account

Problem 1: I now get an email every time a friend add a song to a playlist. I don't want this.

Problem 2: I clicked the link in the email to change the settings and login using my username: samjudah

I changed the settings but when I click save, I get the message:

"Another account is already registered with this email address"

I don't know why this is.

Please note, I don't want to get these emails and I don't want my Spotify account linked to my Facebook account. I don't want any connection between the accounts and I don't want to use Spotify in conjuction with Facebook at all.

Thank you,

Sam

Thanks Sam!

You are not the only one! I have exactely the same two problems! I think it is a bug. It irritates me for over 2 months. So not something they can solve easily I suppose!

Please Spotify customer service. How can you help us and many others?

Regards,

John

Hello,

You've sent me an email about how to fix this (pasted below) but it seems meaningless - it's all bout changing my community preferences (i.e. for this community board which I've just joined) and doesn't solve my problem at all. Please help.

Hi THERE,

IS THERE A SOLUTION OR ARE WE IGNORED AND IS IT A BUG?

Regards,

John

Hi there. I can assure you this isn't a bug. This is caused by users unkowingly having two accounts--and thus two email settings.

JohnnieV - You've started a Premium subscription on both of your accounts. Just pop us an email via the contact form so we can help sort this out.

samjudah - You've also got another account but it's jut a free one. Please follow the steps outlined here to edit those email settings: http://community.spotify.com/t5/Accounts-Subscriptions-and-Music/Unsubscribe-from-emails/m-p/172260#...

ok, but please e-mail me. Than I know who i am e-maiing to!

Hello,

OK, that makes sense, but I don't want to leave my facebook account active with the emails switched off - I want to delete my Facebook account.

I'm concerned that at some stage the default settings will change and I'll start auto-posting things to Facebook - which I don't want.

This may seem unlikely to you, but please, I have so many different online accounts that it's impossible for me to get my head around the settings of all of them.

Please DELETE the Facebook account and just leave me with my original account.

Thank you

Sam

Please please please respond promptly to this, it'll surely only take a second and then we can be done with it.

Thanks

Sam

Hey there 🙂

Have you tried following the steps outlined here?

If you still want to delete your account, you will need to make a formal request for it to be removed to the customer services team using the online contact form. They will need to verify some details with you first, which is why it can't be done here.
