Can't play Current Track

I have Spotify Premium and am running OSX El Captiain. Every time i click on a searched song, playlist, you name it it will not play. No sound. Nothing. It doesn't matter if I have local files...(which I don't) I don't have any playlists. Yes, I am connected to the internet, I'm on youtube listening to music right now FOR FREE. Again, no sound at all no matter what I do and I PAY for premium.

Thanks for the heads up and welcome to the Community.

Is it a home network you're using? Does the web player load ok for you? Can you try reinstalling the app and see if it helps? Just follow the steps here and let us know how it goes.

I am having a similiar problem.  Premium subscriber for 3+ years with no problems.  I don't use my laptop very often but now Spotify will play 2 songs and in the middle of the third stop and just keep scrolling to the next song saying "can't play the currnt track".  My connection is good I uninstalled and reinstalled and the problem picked up again right away.
