Can't "Find Friends" even though Facebook is connected

Can't "Find Friends" even though Facebook is connected

Plan: Premium

Country: USA

Model / OS: iMac Pro (macOS High Sierra 10.13.6)

Issue:

I've connected my Facebook successfully. However, when I click "Find Friends", a window pops up that says "Follow" and a white spinning wheel, but it never populates with any friends to follow. I have 3,000+ friends on Facebook, so I'm not sure what's going on here. I already tried uninstalling Spotify and then resinstalling it, logging in with my email (not through Facebook) and then reconnected it to Facebook. Still no luck.

Any advice? Thank you.

Have you tried to let it load a bit longer?

Did you made a speed connection test?

It could also be, that the servers were overloaded.

Of course it could be, that your 3k friends are the problem.                                              It's a huge sum, so Spotifys server won't give thus the highest prority.

Thank you for your reply DerKurzschlaefe.

Yes I let it load for >10 minutes, and have tried it multiple times.

I ran several speed tests and verified that my connection is consistently 100mbps or greater. No issue there.

The problem has been occurring over a 3-day period now at different times of the day, so I would imagine it's not Spotify's servers either, but I may be wrong.

It's strange, but my thought is that spotify won't give the 3k friends of yours a high prority so it could tanke a while to process, which of your Facebook friends even got Spotify. It has to go through all of their user databases...
My suggestion is that you should wait until next week and if it won't work then either, call the spotify support.
