Can't redeem code

Hi,

I referred a friend to Spotify.  After they had created an account I received a mail with a code for a free month of Spotify premium.

However, when I attempt to enter the code i received the following message:

Country mismatch, Spotify Premium codes can only be redeemed by recipients in the same country as the country you bought the e-card in.

Can you help please
