first I wish you all merry xmas.Now to my problemÖ
for the family premium subscription I was aboud to create an account for my parents. Sadly, at the registration process, spotify tells me, that their email is already in use, which is not possible. But ok. Then I tried to send a new passwort to the email, "as their is already an account". Then spotify tells me, that their is no active account related to that email. Someone please help..

The account associated to the email address may have been blocked because of a chargeback or something else. I'd recommend reaching out to Spotify Support so they can take a closer look at this. Thanks 🙂

If you get an automated reply email telling you to check the Knowledgebase or the Spotify Community, you need to reply back to it, even if it's from a no-reply address. Spotify Support usually replies within 24-48 hours.

thanks for your answer. normally its not possible that this account is blocked. They have never created or used spotify before ... thanks anyway. will wait for support
I had the same problem Dec 24, 2016. My wife's email is very unusual, so I am puzzled as to why we got that message. Moreover, we couldn't ever get to form that allowed her to use the invitation code. Wouldn't it be logical to have the invitation code on the first form a person sees when being added to Family Premium?
Similar issue. Mine is to be paid through Spark but when I go to register I get as far as "login or sign up" and it tells me my email is in use, to reset you'll need to reset you facebook password, but then if I try to log in it says your spoitfy account is not attached to your facebook si either way it will not work. Created a new standard account which I intended to then take over the account with Spark registration but it says the password/email is incorrect even after I have reset it 2 times and been able to log in on the computer. It has also let me get very far into the process of setting up a new account but it gets right to the last few steps and then then "shh this page is broken or has been removed" comes up. There is obviously a broken link somewhere between spark registeration and spotify and it looks more like spotify. Please contact on sam@wilcom.co.nz but it's in reagrds to a different email address.
