Can't remove my old facebook account from my spotify account to use my new facebook?

There is no "disconnect from facebook" in preferences, it say "connect to facebook" instead but it still says I'm using my old facebook when I'm in spotify. This is getting on my nerves, please halp.

I have posted this on other threads, but I post this here since it seems like a moderator is watching this board. It is around the same issue.

I need to do the same. I posted on another thread a couple days ago, but haven't recieved a response. (I need help with changing Facebook account registered)

Please let me know what I can do. The options of clicking a checkbox for Social Network on preferences etc are not there. I originally signed up for a Premium Account with just a throw away FB account, but since have decided to link to my main FB page to more easily share songs with friends etc...

Please let me know my next steps. I can seend you details if you giv eme an email etc...

Hi JDSpecial - The option to 'Disconnect from Facebook' is only availble to users that joined before the Facebook integration.

As you created your account via your Facebook you can't disconnect. If you'd like to use another FB profile you'll need to create a new account via https://www.spotify.com/signup/open/.

Before you do this please be sure to cancel the subscription on your original account.

Just so we are clear. I will need to cancelover the monitoring tools and long files the account I originally signed up with facebook, then resign up with the account I want to use??

That seems completely perpostuours...I could have swon I have seen a post where a moderator or admin was able to point the account that it was signed up under to a different account or something...

Hi notmorrissey - Your case is a bit different here. 

As you joined Spotify via your Facebook account that connection needs to stay intact. If you want to use a different FB you'll need to create a new Spotify account. 

Just cancel your current Premium account via your subscription page. When that expires you can upgrade that new account instead.

You should be able to do this yourself.

Log into the Spotify account using the spotify username and password, then head to Edit > Preferences > Social Network > Disconnect from Facebook in the desktop client.
