My Question or Issue
Good evening,
I have looked trough the FAQ but there wasn't an answer to my special case.
Here I go:
I have created a spotify account trough Facebook around 2012, it used my facebook login credentials obviously.
Some years later I changed my facebook email and the spotify email stayed the same.
Some more years later I deleted my facebook account and ended up with the spotify account being dubbed to this username: 1118508681.
Now the email address that the account was originally on was deleted, we use our own domains for our email.
After recreating the email account (we still own the domain) I am not receiving the password change email from spotify.
I tried numerous ways to get it out but it's not working.
I used the normal form where you enter username or email.
I tried both but with no success.
Now I managed to get into my account using the desktop app where I am still logged in. I got to the logged in webpage and my email address showed as the one I thought it was.
I tried recovering the password trough there (there is this "Password for your device" tab) and when I click that I get the message that an email has succesfully been sent to the email address.
(I saw the option to add a phone number so I added mine, in case I can get the link through sms ??)
Now here is the problem, I don't get the email.
Im afraid that when I log out I lose my account, and I want to change my plan.
Now I think this is because the address got deleted and I recreated the account.
Considering there is no access to Spotify Helpdesk or anything, I wonder if anyone can help me.
I obviously have the login credentials to my account to prove to any customer that the account is mine.
Spotify is billing me tomorrow, so fixing this before that would safe me €10...
Thanks in advance,
Max
