Can't switch families

Hello,

I'm currently in a Spotify family group that I want to leave. I guess it's that time in my life that I want a family of my own. For some reason I cannot accomplish this on my own as my account page says the owner of the old family group needs to remove me? Is there really no way for me to just leave on my own accord?

Unfortunately the way the family plan works right now is that the family plan owner has to remove you.

 

If you've tried to get them to remove you, as a last resort you could contact Spotify support to see if they can remove you if the owner refuses.
