Cancel Recurring Payment on Credit Card from an Account I do not Control

I have a friend using spotify on my credit card ( with my permission) and I want to cancel the monthly recurring subscription on my credit card ( cannot reach my friend). I do not have access to his spotify account but do have the credit card on my name. How should I cancel the subscription?

The simplest way, get your friend to log into their account and cancel it. Unless they are going to be unreachable for a long period this will still be the fastest way. 

Your other options are:

- Get your credit card company to block the payment, however they may take it as fraud and forcable issue you a new card which is a huge pain. 

- Ask Spotify to cancel it, which you can do by opening a case here however this may take some time from previous reports as it is quite hard to track down accounts using payment details (since for security Spotify don't store them).

Thanks for the help! I do have my friend's email address with me (which I used to register spotify for him a long time back). I hope that will help to expedite the process.

all I would like to do is get a refund from money that they took on authorized off my credit card what do I do
