Cancellation Problems

Decided to cancel my Spotify Premium trial, and when I get to the verification page, it says my password is incorrect, even though I typed in the same password. I haven't had any response from support. I'd rather not be charged. Someone help please.

Are you using the iPhone or iPad app?

You might have subscribed to premium through the iOS app.

To cancel your subscription, you need to cancel it from iTunes. You subscription is being handled by Apple.

Information on how to do this in iTunes can be found here:

http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202039

http://www.imore.com/how-cancel-or-modify-itunes-or-app-store-subscription-right-your-iphone-or-ipad

If you have trouble you need to contact Apple.

I've tried cancelling twice now only to still be charged the next month. Granted it still gives me premium, but I have been trying to cancel! I love the service, but I need to convert back to free for the time being. I have already been charged on 1/9/15 for another month that I shouldn't be charged for. Honestly, cancellation should be as easy as saying "Cancel". I'm sure there's no real person to blame, but I need help with this. This most recent charge is the hair breaking the camel's back for me.

Hi there, I cannot cancell my premium subscription.

I follow the instructions but there's no way to have the option of cancelling or change to free.

https://www.spotify.com/es/accounts/subscription/

In the webpage I see Payment (and the link there of UPDATE doesn't work. It opens the same page), with this message "You do not currently have a payment provider connected to your account"

and Subscription, which warns me that if I don't cancel my subscription I will be renewed and charged with a new fee. But how can I cancel it?????!!?!!

There's no support and this is a nightmare!!

Snozzberry,

Phone you're card issuer (Credit Card Company or Bank if it's a Debit Card). Tell them you no longer wish to pay this monthly subscription. Since 2013 they HAVE to cancel all future payments regardless. You don't have to deal with Spotify's dreadful customer service anymore. Home that help.

This is unbelievable. Have tried several times to cancel. Site tells me my subscription is free but they've been taking $9.95 out of account every month. Password not always accepted. There should be a class action lawsuit

Same thing has been happening to me. Are they serious? Isn't this illegal.

Me too .ridiculous

Hi there,

This is because the first time you payed was probably through applestore itunes or googleplay instead of paying directly to spotify. That's why it doesn't work. A was angry two months because of this and people from spotify doesn't answer because while is not their direct problem, they keep you paying.

Try ti cancel the subscription from there. Search in google "cancel spotify apple store"

Here you have a video:

Are you sure you don't have more than one account with your credit card details linked to it? Search your email for any receipts from Spotify. It will show the username for the account in the email. That way you can track down the account. If you still have trouble, use the contact form

Thanks for response. Nope. I went through spotify directly. So there is something else going on here. Besides the point anyway. A service should not have a system that is so convoluted that it's customers spend hours trying to get resolution. Went through my bank to stop automatic withdrawals and to submit reimbursement

I tried to sign up for the student account, I did not complete the process.  I entered my Credit card information, made it to the verification page, and was not able to be verified.

Now I see that i am being charged the 4.99 for a process I did not fully complete.  I need this charge to be reimbursed to me, as i will just upgrade my personal account to the 9.99 premium account.

Please help.

Is there anyway to link my existing account with my student e-mail address?  I would rather not have to make a second account.

Thank you,

@Vitalityprogres

i have been trying to follow all the directions to cancel my subscription as i have accidently purchased the 12 months, now i need money like that and its not something that i can just not bother about, the fact that this mistake was so easy to make yet i have hit nothing but brick walls when attempting to cancel it is just completely wrong, i have checked and double checked the instructions to do so but when i follow said instructions the links on my account page just do not exist, i find it insulting that there is not a contact support line to call directly as this problem would have been solved in minutes with a phone call

just to clarify, i have only ever payed for spotify directly to them, yet the option to cancel my subscription is still not accessible

I have tried to cancel my subscription SEVERAL TIMES and your site give me NO options to do so.  I can't update my email, there is no PHONE NUMBER to call nor an email to write.  I want this subscription to stop immediately!  If not, i will cancel my CC (which will completely SUCK) and i will be reporting Spotify to the BBB and will be SURE to tell everyone to NEVER use this service!  Seriously, i have spent WAY too much time trying to figure how to cancel.  Half your site options are down.  There is NO WAY how to contact one soul!  And honestly, i did not know i even had this.  Come to find out i've been paying for MONTHS.  NO MORE!!!
