Cancelled premium but account hasn't changed back to a free account

Cancelled premium but account hasn't changed back to a free account

I used the 30 day premium trial and it was due to end on 30th August. I cancelled the subscription on 29th August yet my account says it will remain premium until late October! I shouldn't have been charged as the text I received at the start of the trial said I'd be charged on the 30th. Why is my account still premium after I cancelled it? And have I been charged?
