Cancelling iTunes subscription and switching to Spotify direct

I currently pay a premium subscription through iTunes and want to cancel this and subscribe directly with Spotify.

Will I lose all of my existing playlists and music?

Is there a way of transferring them?

To cancel your current iTunes in-app purchases subscription, head over to http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202039.

Once this has been canceled and terminated, you'll be able to log back into this account. It will then be on a Free subscription and you'll still have all your playlists and music.

Anything you've set to Offline Mode will be unsynced.

Great! Thanks for that.
So once I log into the free account I can then upgrade it to Premium through Spotify direct?
And as long as my playlists are not on 'available offline', they will all be synced?
