Cannot activate Spotify Premium without credit card or Gift card

Hello, My name is Thijmen. I'm new to this forums and I have a problem.

I'm using Spotify Free for a few months now, and I really like it. So much even, that I want to update to Spotify Premium. However, there is a problem. A few days ago it was my birthday, and I got some Spotify gift cards. I have not redeemed them yet, but am going to next week.
Today I've looked trough the page for updating to Premium, but ran into a few problems. The first is that I cannot activate Premium with gift cards. Secondly, I have a Pay-Pall™ account without credit card. I tried to activate Premium with that Pay-Pall™ account, but I got a message saying I need to get a credit card to pay for Premium (the €0,- trial).

My questions are:

• Can I activate Spotify Premium trial with gift cards?
• Can I activate Spotify Premium trial without credit cards?
• After activation, can I add Premium time with Gift cards?

I am asking these questions because I couldn't find answers anywhere. Not on Spotify's website(s), and not on any Google search.

To answer your questions:

Spotify Free Premium trials are only available when setting up a recurring monthly subscription via a credit or debit card (or via PayPal linked to a credit or debit card). You can not have the 30 day free trial paying via gift cards. 

You should be able to redeem the gift cards to your account without setting up a credit/debit card subscription, just go to spotify.com/redeem and enter your codes to redeem them to your account.
