Cannot edit profile or change password

Cannot edit profile or change password

I cannot change my password. Following the steps described here - https://support.spotify.com/uk/problems/#!/article/change-password - when I try and submit it complains my email address is already linked to an account. Yes - my account, its ME, I'm trying to edit my profile not create a new one.

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂

This happens when you actually have two accounts registered in the system with the same email address, normally one via your username account and another via your Facebook details which I am assuming use the same email. You will need to get in touch with the customer services team directly using the online contact form and they will be able to remove the duplicate account for you, and after that is done you can change your password. 

If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.
