Cannot join my partners Duo plan - Locked out for 12 months?

Cannot join my partners Duo plan - Locked out for 12 months?

My partner (who I’ve lived with for 2 years) has just upgraded to Duo and invited me to his plan. My account has been on the free membership for some time after being on a friends duo account previously when we lived together. 

When I try to accept the invite it states that Spotify cannot confirm I live at the same address, yet it gives me no way to input my address at all to verify it. Is it possible to reset my address somehow so that I can join his plan?

Thanks for sharing the screenshot! 🙂

 

It looks like Spotify asked you to confirm your address (again) when you were part of the previous Duo plan. Since you didn't do it, you were removed from the plan.

 

I recommend reaching out to Support to see if they can do something about it: https://www.spotify.com/about-us/contact/.
