Cannot login with email and username is unrecognizable

So it appears the integration services developed between Spotify and Microsoft are rather poor.

1. I cannot login with my email address and password.

2. The username created for me through "move my music" is unrecognizable as it was system generated.

How does one get to be able to login using their email and password or at least change their username so they CAN login with a username and password?
