Cannot login with facebook anymore

Hi there,

I have been using the Spotify web player for a few months now. Everything worked fine and I could connect with Facebook without any issue, until a few weeks ago. For some reason, after I cleaned my PC, I remain stuck on the login page with the "connecting to facebook..." button animated but nothing happening, even after half an hour.

Life without music being sad, I would very much like to know how I can access the Spotify Web Player again if it will not accept my Facebook login :'(

Maybe a change in my Facebook password can be the answer? If so, what can I do to make everything right again?

Hey @idontknowc

Can you access Facebook normally in your web browser? I'd suggest to create a new account with a different email address from the one you use for Facebook. That will give you a Spotify username and password, independent of any Facebook account.

Once you have this new account, fill out the contact form, and someone from Spotify will be happy to help you migrate your Premium privileges (if you have them), library, playlists, friends, etc. to this new account.

Thank you for your prompt answer. I can access my Facebook account on all web browsers with 0 issue. I even tried connecting to Spotify while being connected to my Facebook in another tab, but it did not change anything.

I guess I'll try creating a new account and ask for a playlist transfer then, even if I was hoping for another solution (lazy me does not approve). Thanks anyway 🙂
