Cannot my Spotify account with Fido number

Cannot my Spotify account with Fido number

Hi there,

 

I have recently switched to Fido and got Spotify Premium covered. However, I cannot associate my Fido number and Spotify account as the pop up window says "This Spotify account is already associated with another phone number. Try a different account." I was with Fido one year ago and I thought that might be the issue. My account has been with me for 2 years and I do not want a new one. How can we deal with this?

 

I have contact Fido twice and they says I need to talk to Spotify.

Hey @Labyrinthhhh,

 

You can create a new account with a different email address from the one you're using (Tip: don't use the one you use for Facebook). That will give you a different Spotify username of your choice.

 

Once you have this new account, fill out the contact form, and someone from Spotify will be happy to help you migrate your library, playlists, friends, etc. to this new account, so those won't be lost, and you'll be able to link it to your Fido account.

It's a practical way to do it, but don't know if it's the only one. You can fill out the contact form, and someone from Spotify will be happy to help you within 24 hrs. Don't forget to check your spam folder for responses as they may end up there.

 

If you get an automated email directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you.

Really loved my old account 🙂 hopefully they can solve it.

Its the only way to fix it. Thank you for your claim form link. Spoke to support staff via chat. Fix the problem and merge my account and delted those ones that fido ask me to create. Anyways just go to : https://support.spotify.com/us/contact-spotify-support/  click subscription / then click "paid the premium but still on free" / another window open just click the blue tab saying "I need more" / then page open for you to put information that can help them find your account. In my case i answered N/A on Subscription because it is part of my fido plan. / once completed click blue tab "Start Chat" then the tech support will fix it and tell you how to login. Customer support was very professional, patient and kind. Excellent service. This is the only knly one that work as I tried alot of ways reading on  other comments and suggestion, its waste of time and will give you more problem deleting and creating login account.  Thank you Labrynthhh 🙂
