Cannot play album or playlist

Cannot play album or playlist

I am a premium member and am unable to play an album or a playlist.  I start to play one, but after the first song is finished, it changes to another artist not on my album or playlist.  I hate this.  I want to play my playlist or album ONLY, not other songs that are not on my list.  Please give me direction or advice.

Hi @Stuhraa, welcome to the Spotify Community!

This is happening probably because you have accidentally queued some songs. When you do it, they'll always play after the one you choose.

To clear your Queue, just click on its icon (bottom right corner of the screen if you're using the desktop app) and delete the ones you want.

Let me know if you need further help!

I use iPad and iPhone, and I don't see how I can view the queue😒

Ok @Stuhraa

In your iPad and iPhone you can find the Queue on the top right corner of the screen (when you're playing a song, on the big cover art screen).

Then just tap the circles on the left of each song to remove them 🙂

I still cannot make this work.  When I'm playing Bach I want Bach, not Beastie Boys.  This is intolerable.  I'm wondering if I should cancel.  Sooooooo frustrating!  There is no way for me to tell what will pop up next.

Hey @Stuhraa, I agree with you. But if you don't add Beastie Boys to your Queue, it won't be played - unless you've got Autoplay enabled.

In this case, when the last song of the playlist ends, it automatically starts playing songs based on it.

To disable this feature, go to Settings in your desktop app and scroll down until you see it. Toggle it off and it will stop.
