Cannot set device password.

Since I registered my Spotify account by logging into Facebook in the very beginning, I assume that the so-called device password is what actually enables people to continue using Spotify if they choose to temporarily disable their Facebook accounts. However, after receiving the email, clicking the link and proceeding to the setting device password page, an error just occurred when I try to set my device password. There's only a red bar that appears on the page, nothing else, no other information or the reasons are given. I don't know whether it's a website maintenance issue or what, and it seems that no related topic is present on the FAQ. Are there any workarounds?
