Cant access spotify account

So, my friend had spotify premium, one day he couldnt log into his account, he was typing his mail and password and it sayed that email is not registered (email address you provided is not associated with an active Spotify account) and he had premium subscription active. But when he did the password reset thing spotify would shend him email that sad log into spotify without password (you should click on it) but when he presses it it says it again that email address you provided is not associated with an active Spotify account

please help
