Cant change password because email already in use?

Cant change password because email already in use?

When i go to change my settings and enter a new password i cant because it says error: email already in use! YES ITS IN USE BY THIS ACCOUNT IM TRYING TO CHANGE? wth? why does this happen, and what can i do? i need to change my password

Hey @whokilledbob ! Welcome to the community 🙂

If you could get in touch with the customer services team directly using the online contact form they will be able to get this sorted out for you. Its not the account you are trying to change is the issue, there must be another duplicate account in the system (possibly via Facebook) which is also registered with that address.

If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.
