Cant sync songs from local files from my PC to iphone

My Question or Issue

I tried to sync my songs from local files but the songs are greyed out on my iphone. Ive tried some tutorials like the hotspot method and tried using a usb cable. I checked that i’m on the same network. The songs show up on my PC and I can play them but they are greyed on the iphone. When I try to download it, the button becomes green but doesn’t download anything. It also says “song not downloaded if you own this song you can sync it from your computer.”

Thanks for posting in the Community.

The Local Files syncing between devices is not available anymore. You have to have the files physically present on the device you want to play them on.
