Change Admin/Manager within Spotify Family Accounts

Hi there,

 

my family and I are happily using Spotify Familiy but have a little problem with the managing account. 
Is it possible to remove the managing account and replace it with an existing one?

Thanks for getting in touch. 

 

In this case, the Premium for Family owner would have to cancel their subscription, wait for their account to revert to Free, and then accept the invite from the new account's owner. 

 

If you'd like, we can help you with the owner's account. What issues are you having exactly? We'll see what we can suggest 🙂 

I think I have a similar problem. I attached a file with a screenshot of how my account is now. The furst user there is beeing shown as administrator, and I can't remove it or delete it or anything. And the funny thing is that that user can't access all the options of being in a family account right now. I don't even know how she got to be an administraror(maybe because it was the first email I added?)

I would like some help here. 

Resume:
 - She is administrator and I never decided that
 - She cant access any family account option in her app. She is using it like a free account. Althought she sees all the playlist and everything
 - Yes, we tried uninstalling and installing again the app.
 - From the account, I (the owner) can't do anything with that user. Can't remove it, edit it, anything.

same here. deleted  this family member before 2 weeks for saving me the people around me.. and now is this spotify member the admin for my personal/family account plus the admin for our official sportify artsist-account.   love your work guys but please find a  way to handle this!

can you tell me how long does it take for the account to revert to free? 

I have this problem where I’m on a family subscription, but my mother needs to be the admin instead of me. Canceling the subscription and resubscribing shouldn’t be the main way to handle this—Spotify is really lacking in my opinion.

 

So far, i cannot even find a simple way to email the customer service so they could change this in the system for me.

 

Spotify lets you change your gender but not your admin title.
