Seriously? I've changed my password more than 10 (or maybe 12) times a year, and this thing still keep showing up and it's pretty annoying.
I only use my account across different devices and sometimes via a VPN. Can somebody tell me why this is happening? & How to stop this mandatory password change action show up in the future?

Since you mentioned that you use a VPN, this may be causing the issue, as Spotify does not recommend the use of VPNs. When your account is accessed from very different locations in a short period of time, the system may interpret this as suspicious activity and, for security reasons, request a password change.
To avoid this issue in the future, try:
✔️ Disabling the VPN when accessing Spotify.
✔️ Checking that your account is secure and that there are no unknown accesses.
✔️ Always log out of old devices that you no longer use.

I am having the same issue its so annoying to log back in to all devices I need to change my password every month
I am also experiencing the same issue while using an authorized third-party client plus VPN.

This is not a solution, and should not be recommended as such. The solution is Spotify amending their security policies to decrease false positives. Me being forced to change my password 3 times in 2 weeks, and me actually doing it, should be a sign that perhaps their flagging is incorrect.

I don't care what's Spotify's recommendation for using a VPN is. If they can't handle their network security with their customers using VPNs, then I will simply stop using Spotify.
I was looking for what was causing my frequent password resets, and I stumbled on this thread.
I'm in the same boat. I have 2 VPNs that I use for work, depending on what cluster I have to connect to, and can be switching several times a day. I'm having to reset my Spotify password every week, and it has to be sync'ed across my phone as well. It's a real pain.
