Change accountname back

hi,

today my account was hacked. Someone plays music from another smartphone and all my playlists were deleted - even my name was changed to Andrea Mellado. I removed all logins via spotify browser and changed my password. That worked - but Andrea Mellado is my name until now. How can i change it back to my old name ?

Hey @LoaODjaei,

After disconnecting the Facebook account, it can take around a week for the system to update the name.

do you think Andrea Mellado  was connected via Facebook ? because i dont have an facebookaccount and registraded via email on spotify

I'm pretty sure about that since it's currently not possible to change the display name/username.

If you’d like to disconnect your Spotify account from the Facebook account, just follow these steps: 

1. Open the Spotify desktop app.
2. In the top-right corner, click  > Settings.
3. Under Social, click DISCONNECT FROM FACEBOOK.

Note: It’s not possible to complete these steps on mobile.
