Change displayname now supported in IOS app?

My Question or Issue

When I open the IOS app and click on settings -> Profile -> edit profile

I can now edit my display/nick name. I know that changing your display name is/was not supported for Spotify. Is this a new feature? What happens when I change the name displayed in the IOS app?

Hi, maybe this tip it can help you. Try to link your facebook account to your spotify app, if your fb is already link to your accoount that the time it will automatic change your spotify name display..

I don't want my Facebook profile linked to my account. I am moving away from Facebook.
So this is the better option.

You cant change the display name without the link of your fb accnt.
If you want a new display name try to create a new one or reset data of your spotify app. And this time be careful to make a display name of your account,. I hope this can help you. Thank you

I have changed my displayname with the link I provided:
