Change from free to premium

I am currently a user under my son's account.  He recently switched from Premium to Free account.

I want to set up my own account - Premium (with my current user name and password).

Can I keep my current user name / Password?

Will my current listing of songs, albums, playlists carry over to my new Premium account?  Or will I need to download everything again?

(iPhone 8, Samsung Galaxy 9, Macbook Pro late 2016)

Operating System

(iOS 10, Android Oreo, Windows 10,etc.)

Thanks for reaching out.

Of course, you can keep all of that since you'll still be using the same account 🙂 Just make sure that you upgrade while you're logged into the account you want Premium on.

Also, if you have any offline music downloaded, it's possible that it'll be removed from your device(s), but you can re-download it anytime after upgrading to Premium again.
