Ive been trying to change the payment details associated with my account from an AMEX to a VISA. When I enter the VISA details, it says everything was successful, and when I go back to the Payment Settings page, it shows an AMEX logo, with the last four of the VISA, with an expiration date of neither of those cards... and it still charges the AMEX.

This shouldn't be happening. There was a recent change to the overall functionality of the account page. Maybe this is a glitch.
I suggest you contact support so they can take a look at your account and help you with this:
