I recently created this account, they gave me a random username and I want my own username what's your deal?

The random username you get is just a simple URI code for your user profile. These codes are a simple way to keep in track of user data on the Spotify server, so you won't need to worry that much.

When others see your profile, your own username will appear instead of your random username generated. Also, please use your email address instead of username when you login to Spotify 🙂

Thank you for asking 🙂 Unfortunately, for now Spotify does not recognize your own username(the one you made) when you login. So if you type in your own username, it will show that the following user doesn't exist.

You can either use your randomized username or your email address to login; I suggest using your email address instead of using the random username you get, which is a lot more complicated.
