Changed credit card but country won't change

Hello,

 

my family and I have recently moved to the US from Brazil.

My husband set up a family subscription and tried to invite me, but it didn't work because it said my profile was from another country than my husband's profile.

 

Note that he also had an account from Brazil, but then changed his credit card to an American one, and his country was properly updated to USA.


I then tried to the same, removed my Brazilian credit card, added my American credit card in the subscription and our zip code.

However, even doing that, my country still won't change to USA, it still shows as Brazil.

 

As I had an active subscription, it said that it wouldn't charge me until my current paid month is over (which would be on Dec-11).

Apparently the country only changes if Spotify charges your new card - is that so?

If so, how can I change my country now, so that my husband can add me to his family subscription?
